Afternoon Plenary Address: Tackling the Technician Shortage - A Bold, Manufacturer-Led Strategy for Ohio
Ohio manufacturers are facing a critical challenge: a growing demand for skilled technicians. To address this, the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, in collaboration with Accenture and the Ohio Manufacturing Talent Partnership, is spearheading a scalable earn-and-learn program designed specifically for manufacturers, by manufacturers.

This engaging panel brings together Ohio manufacturers from diverse industries to share their first-hand involvement in shaping this innovative solution. They’ll discuss why this initiative is vital to their businesses, the program’s unique design, and the steps needed to build a skilled technician workforce statewide. Attendees will leave with a clear view of how this strategy expands opportunities for Ohioans, meets employer needs, and positions Ohio as a leader in solving the technician shortage crisis.
