The Ohio Manufacturers' Association is hosting its eighth annual Workforce Summit on November 6, 2025 at the Hilton Downton Columbus. The OMA Workforce Summit is the premier gathering for Ohio's manufacturing community. Attendees gain valuable insights, fresh ideas, resources and tools.
Summit Theme: Forging the Future: Building Talent Pipelines for Manufacturing Success
The OMA's 2025 Workforce Summit will focus on real-world success stories and actionable steps attendees can implement. In addition, it will showcase partnerships between manufacturers, educators, and workforce development programs to highlight the importance of collaboration in forging the future workforce.
To be considered for a breakout session presenter, the submission must be an employer-led workforce solution; no sales presentations will be accepted. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Nick Miller (nmiller@ohiomfg.com).
Breakout Session Format:
All sessions will be 75 minutes and include an audience Q&A at the end. Please recommend the best format for your session (workshop, panel, presentation, etc.) based on the content you are sharing with the audience.
Speaker Benefits:

- Name, Company, and Breakout Session information on Summit website and social media
- Access to speaker social media and email graphics to utilize on your accounts
- Highlighting your organization’s leadership by sharing best practices and workforce development successes
Evaluation Process:
All submissions will be considered based on the following criteria:
- Description and quality of submission
- Relevance to current workforce development challenges faced by manufacturers
- Connection to the conference theme
- Practical application for other manufacturers and communities to model
- Speaker qualifications
Speaker Responsibilities:
- Register for the Summit: The registration fee for the conference will be covered and OMA will complete registration on your behalf. However, please note that hotel and travel expenses are not eligible for reimbursement
- Print and bring any materials needed for your session. To add resources tied to your session in the OhioMFG app, materials need to be sent by Friday, October 31, 2025
- Communicate with co-presenters
- Share slides and any videos with us, as applicable, by September 26 at 5:00 pm EST
- Share all presenters’ names, titles, emails, company logos, headshots, and biographies
- Participate in prep call with OMA and event planning team
Submission:
Please submit your proposal by May 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. We will review all qualified proposals and inform those we have selected by June 27, 2025. We will schedule briefing calls once we notify speakers of their selection.
